What is this website's focus?
The focus of this website is to inform others of Wicca, Paganism, eclectic polytheism, and the likes. It is not strictly a Wiccan or Pagan website, but a source of information and guidance.
What is Wicca / Witchcraft / etc.?
Wicca cannot be easily defined. If you were to ask 13 Wiccans what Wicca is, you'll probably get 13 different answers. While certain Wiccan practices and beliefs are based on older beliefs and practices, the religion itself was brought together in the 1950s by Gerald Gardner.
Witchcraft is defined as, "the practice of magic; the use of spells and the invocation of spirits." Witchcraft, contrary to popular belief, is not "dark" or "malevolent."
Wicca and witchcraft, however, are not the same. One can practice witchcraft and not be Wiccan, and one can be Wiccan and not practice witchcraft, although there are Wiccans who do practice it.

What is a coven?
A coven is defined as, "a group or gathering of witches." A coven is usually led by a high priest/high priestess. Sometimes the role of high priest/priestess is not permanent within a coven, but is changed weekly, monthly, yearly, or even changing depending on certain rituals that are being performed. The size of a coven varies, but it is usually from 3 to 13 people.
Do I have to join a coven in order to practice?
You do not have to be in a coven in order to practice. In fact, many people prefer working solo in place of working with others in a coven. Each person works differently. Maybe you work better in a coven, or maybe you'd prefer to be a solitary practitioner.
Where else can I find information?
There are many places where you can find information about Wicca, witchcraft, Paganism, and the likes. Please keep in mind that there aren't really set-in-stone definitions of these things. These aren't strict practices and beliefs. These paths vary with each who choose to walk it.
I would, however, recommend joining Everything Under the Moon, a forum about Wicca, Witchcraft, and Paganism.
